The Chiang Mai University council established the Sriphat Medical Center, Faculty of Medicine in 1997. It is a 150-bed general hospital which meets the highest international standards of health care and medical treatment. It is staffed by highly qualified medical professionals including members of the Faculty of Medicine,   

Chiang Mai University who can provide the most advanced and expert medical care in a wide range of specialty areas. The hospital uses state-of-the-art equipments in its many departments including the GI Center and Endoscopy Unit, the Hemodialysis Clinic, the Heart Center, the Stroke Center, the Lactation Clinic, the CCU and the ICU.




GI Center and Endoscopy Unit

Liver diagnosis by Fibro Scan Machine is a machine that is used to check the health of the liver, looking for scar tissue which affects the flexibility and strength of the liver. The scan will not cause any pain, nor will it damage the liver afterwards.
Gastrointestinal Wireless Capsule Endoscopy is the latest technology specifically used for investigating the digestive system, even in the farthest part of the small intestine.

 

1. Hemodialysis Clinic cares for patients with kidney disease, both acute and chronic hemodialysis with continuous renal replacement therapy.  Open 24 hours per day.

 

2. Heart Center provides  specialized care by board certified cardiologists , and is open daily from 8 am to 8 pm. Treatment and care for patients with heart diseases by transthoracic echocardiography, exercise stress test,  and vascular ultrasound are provided at the Heart Clinic.

 

3. Labour Room provides peripartum care by obstetricians from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, with electric birthing bed that is the first in the northern region of Thailand.

 

4. Nursery Unit cares for all newborns at birth by experienced pediatricians and nursing staffs. Breastfeeding and infant care by experienced service teams are provided at Lactation Clinic with 24-hour hot-line.

5. Intensive Care Unit is equipped with positive pressure and non-laminar air flow, which is the first in the northern region of Thailand.
