Whole worm after arrangement: the scolex is small and globular, posterior end consists of gravid proglottids.

A chain of gravid proglottids: they are transparent, branched uterus is visible and opaque due to eggs inside.

A gravid proglottid was injected with the India Ink into uterus and then compressed between glass slides. The number of lateral uterine branches of more than 14 main branches per side differentiates Taenia saginata from Taenia solium.
