       Library's Collections  
      The Medical Library's collections contains books include both basic and clinical  
  sciences, serials, government publications, research reports, and  
  dissertations/thesesas well as the audio-visual materials: CD-ROMs, DVDs,  
  biomedical slides and microfiches. The Library holds exceed 122,000 volumes and  
  the building has a capacity of 200,000 volumes.  
      Books / Monographs  
    These include 60,000 volumes of hard-copy textbooks and monographs and more  
  than 300 titles of electronic books in in medicine and allied health, and about  
  12,000 volumes of government publications, research reports, and theses. These  
  stock could be search their full bibliographic details through from the Chiang Mai  
  University Libraries Online Public Access Catalogue (CMUL OPAC) and some of  
  them are available full-text online at the Chiang Mai Universtiy in-house electronic  
  research reports and theses databases. And also includes a collection of general  
  materials for edutainment and entertainment purpose.

      Serials  
         The Library holds about 46,000 volumes of bound journals/periodicals. The  
  journals received regularly over 500 titles of print journals mainly 400 titles in  
  English language and over 380 current prints subscriptions. The current list of  
  print journals is available online holdings list. The Library provides 2,000 electronic  
  journals are listed on the MJI databases.  
      Electronic Resources  
    The main e-resources both of subscribed and open access in biomedical and  
  health sciences are available:  
  - AAAS Science Magazine - the world's leading journal of original scientific  
  research, global news and commentary.  
  - AccessMedicine - a collection of medical reference sources and tools on  
  educational and clinical medicine.  
  - ACS American Chemical Society - the world's largest scientific society,  
  advances knowledge and research through scholarly publishing, scientific  
  conferences, information resources for education, business and professional  
  development.  
  - Academic Search Premier - covers the academic study subjects and  
  provides full text from more than 4,600 scholarly publications and 3,500 peer-  
  review journals.  
  - Annual Reviews - critical reviews of research literature published in physical,  
  biomedical and social sciences disciplines.  
  - Blackwell - full-text journals available from Blackwell Synergy publisher.  
  - BMJ Journals - over 20 full-text journals published in medical specialties.  
  - Clinical Evidence - a compendium of evidence on the effects of common  
  clinical interventions published by the BMJ Publishing Group. It provides a concise  
  account of the current state of knowledge, ignorance, and uncertainty about the  
  prevention and treatment of a wide range of clinical conditions based on thorough  
  searches of the literature.  
  - The Cochrane Library - contains regularly updated evidence-based health  
  care databases.  
  - CREDOreference (Fmly: Xreferplus) - a complete reference collection for  
  finding full text, images, sound files, data, maps and more.  
  - MDConsult - provides access to about 60 medical e-books, current peer-  
  reviewed guidelines covering hundreds of conditions and procedures, patient  
  education materials, and texts from articles in 33 medical journals, including Clinics  
  of North America and Lancet Oncology.  
  - NetLibrary - provides access to more than 5,000 titles of e-books [supported  
  by Commission on Higher Education, Ministry of Education].  
  - Medical ProQuest Library - includes more than 450 titles of full text journals.  
  - Ovid - provides access to about 75 e-books and 240 e-journals in medicine and  
  allied health.  
  - POPLINE - the world's largest open access database of family planning and  
  related health and developmental issues.  
  - PubMed - the world's largest open access medical and health sciences  
  databases, that includes over 17 million citations from MEDLINE and other life  
  science journals for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. PubMed includes links to  
  full text articles and other related resources.  
  - ScienceDirect - provides 1,800 titles of the comprehensive and peer-reviewed  
  journals from Elsevier Science publisher and over three million articles. [supported  
  by Commission on Higher Education, Ministry of Education].  
  - SciFinder - contains chemical and related scientific information from journals,  
  patents.  
  - Scopus - the world's largest abstract and indexing database, includes 27 million  
  research abstracts and more than 230 million cited references.  
  - Springer Link - provides access to about 150 e-books and over 300 e-journals  
  in biomedical, life sciences and medicine.  
  - STAT!Ref - a customizable, cross-searchable and up-to-date medical and drug  
  information with 9 titles of e-books.  
  - Student Consult - Elsevier online textbooks and the online resources for  
  medical student.  
  - Taylor & Francis (Informaworld) - e-books, abstract databases and reference  
  works published by Taylor & Francis, Routledge, Psychology Press and Informa  
  Healthcare.  
  - ThePoint - Lippincott Williams & Wilkins online textbooks and student resources.  
  - Web of Science - provides seamless access to current and retrospective  
  multidisciplinary information from approximately 8,500 of the most prestigious, high  
  impact research journals in the world via unique search method, cited reference  
  searching. [supported by Commission on Higher Education, Ministry of Education].
